Smart, affordable interventions can be quick wins for a neighbourhood: permeable parking areas, unpaved footpaths, and planted zones that capture rainwater. In Mortsel, on Tommeltlaan, permeable parking bays, new planting, and a wadi reduced flooding and increased local support. Your municipality can start small too. We help identify feasible steps with immediate impact.
In recent years, many municipalities have developed rainwater and drought plans, often in collaboration with Aquafin. But a plan is only the beginning.
